A Simple, Artistic and Efficient Modification of the Inversion Method
The simplest and fastest way of producing an acceptable and accurate cast is by adopting the two-pour or inversion method. This process is slightly cumbersome and messy due to difficulty of access. A much more efficient, easy and artistic way of accomplishing it is described by adopting a Rotating Cake Icing Table with a Silicone Baking Mat on top as an autoclavable non-stick barrier.
متن کاملEnergy-Efficient Receiver-Driven Wireless Mesh Sensor Networks
A major challenge in wireless sensor networks research is energy efficiency. In the intermittent receiver-driven data transmission (IRDT) protocol, which aims at saving energy, communication between two nodes commences when multiple receiver nodes transmit their own IDs and the sender nodes receive them. This protocol can be used to construct a mesh network which is robust against node failure ...
متن کاملSimple, Accurate and Computationally Efficient Wireless Channel Modeling Algorithm
We propose simple and computationally efficient wireless channel modeling algorithm. For this purpose we adopt the special case of the algorithm initially proposed in [1] and show that its complexity significantly decreases when the time-series is covariance stationary binary in nature. We show that for such time-series the solution of the inverse eigenvalue problem returns unique transition pr...
متن کاملWireless Testbed Receiver
These days, the demand for mobile transmission bandwith seems to be a never ending story. To get insights into the real world, wireless transmission measurements and not only simulations of mobile communication systems are necessary. For this task, the Vienna Wireless Testbed has been developed. To keep pace with future developments, the testbed has to be extended and updated constantly. Furthe...
متن کاملA sectored receiver for infrared wireless networks
This paper presents an experimental sectored receiver for infrared wireless networks. The receiver comprises two sectors, each with a switched gain front-end and a signal-to-noise ratio estimator. These are then interconnected with a best-sector selector unit, able to compensate the gain switching characteristics of the front-ends. The circuit has been designed in a 0.8μm CMOS technology.
